We're gonna respect the dickens out of this one...
And we won't stop there. We may as well respect the spleen out him, too.

Ohhh... Very bad timing Captain Ironpants! DOOMING a bit sooner, or later, would have been much preferable for you. Still you are fortunate it is the Bakers Guild that have caugth you, they might treat you with "respect" - the Tailors Guild though would make an example of you to terroize anyone with your fashion sense for a dozen generations.

Aw, darn, I was hoping the pants would remain standing while the people inside dangled limply. Then again, an L-shaped person is awkward to fit into a square panel.

I expect there is a slight difference between impersonating a Heterodyne, giving everyone a false sense of hope, and just being an average trooper serving whatever.

I really dont see the Heterodynes as the types that would use an army of secret ninjas, why would they need to? If they have issues with someone they will march their battleclanks to the walls, blow those full of holes and send in the Jägers. The Heterodynes wouldn't care for subtility or plausible deniability or any crap like that. Now that hardly rules out that independent experts in slightly less bombastic methods of carnage have settled in Mechanicsburg, they do export deathtraps from there at least.

I really dont see the Heterodynes as the types that would use an army of secret ninjas, why would they need to? Well, just being able to say "Send out the army of secret ninjas!" would be worth the expense. ;D

The Bakers do have a lot of fresh supplies in the alley. Maybe he's Smuggler's Guild?

Everyone needs an army of secret ninjas! -looks shifty eyed- ...Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything... "Summon my ninjas!" ...Oh, just the sound of it. Of course the Heterodynes would have ninjas! Mechanical, venomous ninjas.

Well, Professor P'ogliof Livy's essential work on Galactic cultures (go see Phil's Buck Godot pages!) assures us that despite the unimaginable differences in society, physiology, and even physics that separate the staggering variety of sentient life forms of the universe, the one thing that somehow always emerges (wherever an upper class separates from a lower class and refuses them permission to carry swords, death rays, spoons or whatever the local deadly weapon may be) are Ninjas.
So, no doubt, the Baron's iron-fisted reign has spawned all kinds of black-pajama-wearing specialists in applied stealth.

-nods- The ninja is omnipresent. "Am I not a thing of mist and shadows?"
