Feh. Hyu don't vin vars by dyin for hyu King. Hyu make da other guy die for HIS king. Or Mistress, as da case may be. Unless hyu dun care about hyur own troops but hyur opponent cares about his. Den, zo long az hyu dun run out of cannon fodder, hyu can chust keep throwink dem at de enemy until dey kent schand lossink any more of dere pipple. Vorked verra vell for de Chinese in Korea und de North Vietnamese. "If you kill 10 of my men and I kill one of you, then that is a victory for me" - Ho Chi Minh.

"If you kill 10 of my men and I kill one of you, then that is a victory for me" - Ho Chi Minh. [nitpick] That is not quite the version of the quote I've seen: -Ho Chi Minh, late 1940s to the French. It wasn't that he didn't care about his men (as you imply) - instead it's that his men were more dedicated to the cause than the French (or Americans) were, and so they would win the war by attrition. Which is exactly what happened. [/nitpick]
