I wonder if it's possible that the Geisterdamen "made" this Lu themselves, before any of the Lu we know about got back to them. After Agatha!Lu didn't come with them they may have assumed both versions of their goddesses was gone and made another right away. And their is still Engima, where ever she may be Her controlling the north makes me wonder if the conflict where Gil got a hold of the Ice Wrym is related or if they are different. i don't think they are talking that north. I also am making note that whatever Gil did to make the people on Castle Wulfenbach stop listening to Lu can't be done large scale/ isn't a cure. In fact I wonder if Lu just had them under a "Listen to the Baron" order because she was that arrogant in thinking she had him under her wing. That's unlikely but its the only thing I can think of that wouldn't work large scale. And apparently the Vesper squad that made it out with the troops haven't gotten in contact with Gil. Considering what we know the Empire tried to do with them I'm not surprised. Also Higgs hat now says Moste-, before (after timeskip) is said Wulfenbach (Or maybe Wulfenbach c.) Which made sense as he was likely serving on Wulfenbach. Before the timeskip it was the Frozen Maiden (Or rozen Maiden after the f fell off), which was the ship he was on. Makes me wonder if Moste- is the ship they are on. Also wonder if it almost being monster is supposed to be a hint/joke.

Lucrezia is planting herself into people and running them. No orders needed. She is the authority. All the Vespers left Mechanocsburg. Clearly Gil has contacted at least some of them. Remember Tarvek told them about wasped Klaus. Gil has counter-acted wasps. I missed the "Moste-" but his hat initally said "Rozen Maiden" which was a shoutout.

Gil is directly responding to the spy's mention of the revanants and needing to detect them in panel 5, and she refers to them as the new Vespary squad, the fact they are starting from scratch (And wouldn't be if they had some weasels to use, as well as some of the original handlers) as well as not having any working weasels (A whole year out for that) makes it sound like Gil hasn't been in contact with them at all. Last they knew the Empire was out to get them, they may still think that. Dimo told us that Gil had done something but we don't know what, and now I think what we're learning here is that whatever Gil did he can't do to the entirety of Europa, and it certainly wasn't a cure since he also mentions on this page that they still need one. We don't know what Tarvek told them but it couldn't be about Klaus being wasped until after they were already attacked, he himself dosn't know until after it would be impossible for him to get the information to them as they were running for their freedom. Actually in his first appearance, during doctor Sun's story, it said Frozen Maiden, which was the name of the ship he was on. At some point during that mess the f fell off. After the timeskip, when in his uniform, his hat read Wulfenbach C. Which likely stands for Castle Wulfenbach, the new ship he was likely stationed at since that is where Gil is mostly. I'm just wondering what Moste- might mean.

I think we can be certain that we're not up to our hats in Lucrezias because, whatever else she may be, she is *not* subtle nor can she resist gloating. Some of them, statistically, would have broken character by now.
On the other hand, Lucrezia!Anevka did fool everyone for a long time...

New Vesper Squads as the old ones scattered and reported to Tarvek (or were supposed to). Tarvek could have told the vespers about Klaus in Mechanicsburg. We don't see everything that happens in the story. It has happened before where a character speaks information that we have never seen given to that character.

I think we are going to have to agree to disagree andyab1000, since Gil's quote in the panel before the new wasp eaters are mentioned is "We have no way of telling who is under her power, let alone who is her." tells me they haven't any Wasp Eaters available and that the everyday renevants are still around and a big problem.
I give you that the Vesper squad may have been informed about wasped Klaus in mechanisburg, I actually remember considering this but then somehow got stuck on what they knew before fleeing the airship. My apologies.

Gil calls Tarvek "Sturmvoraus" pretty regularly, actually. And I think Klaus is substantially less likely to expect Tarvek to "help clean up this mess" as opposed to, say, siding with Lucrezia. Or his family. Or himself. Tarvek does regard the Wulfenbachs as usurpers in the way of his rightful claim to Europa, after all.
Also, I agree with saber. The Empire lost its wasp-eaters, except possibly for the compromised one Klaus used to pretend Gil had been wasped, and that one may have been killed since or isn't useful for detection. They can't identify stealth-revenants or possessed people -- and I wouldn't bet on the latter leaving chemical traces.

De easiest vay to find out vot iz goink on vud be to grab a Lucrezia und den do horrid tings to her until sche iz explainink vot iz goink on und how all de tech vorks. Dey cud duct tape her to a chair und make her vatch endless repeats ov de Jeremy Kyle schow.
