I wonder how much of it is people obeying sparks and how much of it is 'the Voice'. After all, when Agatha uses the voice harmonics thing, people do as she says straight away... www.girlgeniusonline.com/cgi-bin/ggmain.cgi?date=20051024I'm still interested as to what sort of Coffee machine we're going to end up with. We've got rapid boil so far...

I wonder how much of it is people obeying sparks and how much of it is 'the Voice'. Must the two be exclusive of each other? I suspect that somebody confronted with a spark, without having already known that the person ordering him or her about is sparky, responds to the Voice (unless the spark is actually wielding something to encourage obedience). Over time, the spark's charisma, if that's the word I'm looking for, may take it's toll, so the Voice isn't always necessary to get the job done. I don't think I'd drink any coffee of Agatha's.

Well, Voice or Spark aside, generally don't you obey people who act confident and as though of COURSE everyone should follow them? At least, I know I do. Everyone seems to surprised that she has the confidence to tell them what to do to really argue, in any case.

Hmm I guess so Thad. I've always been a little rebellious myself, and done things my way Oh and no, Moralis, after listening to the Radio Plays that Mr Carnegie mentioned over at the comic site, I don't think I'd try any of Agatha's coffee either. Zeetha was scared to drink it!

Well, you're just...Sparkier than me. Obviously.
I wouldn't drink her coffee, either, and I haven't listened to the radio plays. I mean, she's the heroine of a comic which generally means "terrible homemaker". I think that carries over to coffee making, too, right? Of course, I also don't drink coffee but that is completely beside the point.
Really, though, she can fix things and that is so much more useful than making coffee.

Unless of course the reason the coffee is so bad is because she fixed the coffee maker. But perhaps we'll find that out in tomorrow's page.

Oh! I hadn't thought of that. That is a really good point. It is a good thing I have all you smart people here to think for me.

And now "Getting out of hand"... indeed. But if no one has predicted yet that the resulting machine will be involved when Agatha separates Zola from Castle Heterodyne, dibs. Double Moxana points to me if it actually does launch itself over the battlements... under its own steam, eh? eh? *nudge nudge*

I'll leave the guessing about the machine up to you, RJ. I have nooo idea.
I do know that I've done waitering before and if a customer had to ASK for refills on coffee my head would have been on a stick. They wouldn't say "NO, don't give her refills!" no matter how hopped up on caffeine she was. D'you see this, uhhh...*looks*...Vanamonde!! This is why you don't make good tips. Not giving her refills indeed! That is an offense against decent service, that is.
Yeah, that's pretty much what *I* got out of the newest page....

So ... just how long will it be until Gil gets wind of all this ruckus, and ends up finding out that Agatha's in town? He's already sent people out to keep an eye on things around the Kestle. The way things are going, it's going to be pretty hard to miss what's happening.
Poor, poor Wooster. I'd say his hours are numbered, if Gil should decide he can manage to skip out on Klaus long enough to run an errand.

And let's remember Gil is a tea drinker. But Wooster knows how he likes it.
Maybe I'm wrong about Agatha's brew being not necessarily to the cafe's advantage. This could be the goods.
