It looks as though Othar Trygvassen can hear the narration!? I don't think that's exactly "breaking the fourth wall" - that's when characters talk to the audience that they weren't supposed to know about - but no wonder he's crazy... Who else do we know who can do that kind of thing... One or more of Spike Milligan's characters in the outrageous [Puckoon]. Marvel Comics' characters She-Hulk and Deadpool and occasionally their supporting cast. Will Ferrell in [Stranger Than Fiction]. And Jon Stewart on [The Daily Show]. Any others?

Actually you've given all the GOOD examples of that I can think of - almost all the time this is done it screws it up.
Puckoon was great by the way. Those of you who saw the original Three Musketeers flick, Spike Milligan was Raquel Welch's doddering old husband.
Did you know, on the morning of Diana's and Charles's marrage, he sent a telegram to her 'This is your last chance, marry me!'
Good taste, rjacarnegie!

One of the other comics I read, Schlock Mercenary has very good use of the fourth wall. As you say, it is not often well done.

How 'bout George of the Jungle? They're always arguing with the narrator.

Hey, looks like the Weasel Queen was listening to the introduction as well - she's spinning a tale - "How much do you know about things here? Not enough? Well - " - a tale that borrows from the teaser. Zombies, insects, things from... elsewhere. Check. Or maybe she swiped someone's script and read ahead.
Obviously she herself had come to investigate this outbreak of possible people-eating rabbits, with which she is not in any way involved. What the fur? No, weasels are her shtick - and, come to think, we haven't seen any weasels yet. Oho - maybe the term is descriptive. (Did we decide if anyone here heard this story live?)

Hmm yes she doesn't look local, but she seems to know a lot about the situation. Although she didn't seem to join in with the general dismemberment, spark-fu or think it could be done. So I don't think she's a spark or adventurer type. I certainly was not at the convention this was first performed at, although if anyone was and remembers it, hands up please!
