We have beamed down near a deserted road to question some travellers.
Kirk: How long before that caravan reaches us, Spock?
Spock: At their current rate of travel, Fifteen minutes and thirty two seconds, captain.
McCoy: This has to be one of those parallel Earths. One where technology is a bit behind the times.
Spock: On the contrary, Doctor. Our readings indicated a number of active power sources that are state-of-the-art even by our standards.
McCoy: Alongside steam powered engines? How do you explain that?
Spock: I do not. However, the locals will no doubt be able to tell you the answer.
